CBD Treats for Dogs with Anxiety – Top 5 Brands

Sharing is caring!

Do you have a dog with anxious behavior? Are you looking for CBD treats to calm your pet? This is a list of high-quality CBD treats for dogs with anxiety.

We emphasize High-quality because there are Low-quality CBD treats found in pet stores and online.

I know it sounds cliché, but not all CBD products are created equal.

With so many products available, how do you know which ones are good? If you read my article on CBD Oil for Dogs, you’ll learn that some manufacturers use toxic solvents to extract Cannabinoids from the Cannabis plant which inevitably leaves petroleum residues behind.

You don’t want your dog to ingest any of that.

You want your CBD treats to be safe and non-toxic.

CBD Oil Canada

CBD Oil Canada crafted a number of high-quality dog treats with medicinal herbs to target particular issues for dogs in Canada.

Serenity – Formulated to specifically address anxiety and nervousness in dogs. It contains Ashwagandha, Chamomile, and Tulsi to promote calmness, alleviate stress, and balance the digestive tract.

Vitality – Formulated to target heart and bone health as well as the GI tract and skin. It contains a unique combination of Ginseng, Gotu Kola, Chia Seeds, and Chlorella.

Longevity – Formulated for senior dogs who suffer from arthritic pain, joint pain, inflamed tendons, hip pain, and also supports cell regeneration. It contains Astragalus, Burdock Root, and Turmeric.

All these products are certified organic and non-GMO.

It is really unfortunate that current laws do not allow them to ship outside Canada.

FAQs

Do These Cannabis Companies Have A Third-Party Certificate of Analysis?

Yes, they do. Why is this important?

This is extremely important because it proves that the product contains what’s written on the packaging. Some products have too much THC or too little CBD or none at all.  It also shows if it contains any heavy metals and pesticides.

A third-party certificate of analysis is done by a company with no affiliation to the  Cannabis producer, therefore, has no incentive to alter the results.  A COA is very important because it proves that the product contains what is listed on the label.

One study found 70% of CBD oil they tested contained extremely high levels of Lead, Arsenic, Glyphosphates, BPA and toxic mold.

The only thing you might notice is that your dog may be calmer and older dogs may move around a little easier. You may also notice your dogs sleeping better.

Are CBD Dog Treats Safe?

CBD Dog Treats are made to the highest standards and are safe for pets. These were formulated with human-grade ingredients and are safe even for humans.

  1. It is so good to know that you can not only supply your dog with a treat but with healthy treats which I think is pretty amazing. What we want is to keep our dogs in the best shape and health ever and the best way to do that is to give them what they need. I don’t have a dog of my own at the moment had a few in the past but this information can help me when I decide to get a dog again knowing what healthy treats to give to them.

  2. thanks for sharing such intriguing article on the best CBD treats for dogs with anxiety issues,,I have a dog named Jimmy and at a point, I could say he is really anxious so I look forward to taking care of him using this CBD treats you’ve given hair on your review and I believe I will definitely get a positive result from it, thanks a lot for sharing such insightful information…

  3. Thanks for the article, when something new comes out that is a big hit, like CBD (which has been very well received) you always have to look out for the companies that are in it just to capitalize on a new wave and they may not be making the best product.  This article is great to understand what to look for in a manufacturer, as well as highlighting who some of those great manufacturer’s are.  Great job!

    Shawn

    • Thanks for commenting, Shawn. You are right – it is absolutely  necessary to weed out the good ones from the bad

  4. Very interesting. I had never heard of CBD for dogs before. Makes perfect sense. I’ve heard that coconut oil was especially good for dogs, so this would be a plus as it is often used for these products. As with so many things in life, it is hard to learn the good from the bad, and you’ve done a great job of researching this. Thanks.

  5. An interesting post, I hadn’t thought of giving dogs treats for anxiety before, does make sense now though. I guess it could be difficult sometimes to determine if a dog is suffering from any type of mental illness. It’s not something that I hear of regularly, but when I think about it, have seen it in some dogs.

We do have to be careful with what we give our pets, and we can look after them better then ourselves sometimes. I wonder how troublesome it is to get a dog to recovery from something like anxiety? Treats seem like an easier solution, and CBD oil does appear to be the go to product for humans as well at the moment.

  6. Thanks for sharing this awesome post. During this time that we have to be at home all the time and me as a dog owner, I never take my dog again for an evening walk as I used to be and in one way or another, as it’s not easy to stay in the same environment for a long time, this has affected it. I would like to give a try to HempMy Pet, I like the ingredients in it and I think my dog would love it.

  7. Wow! CBD hemp oil is really something!

From one of your previous articles I know it can be used for treatment joint pains in dogs but for anxiety in dogs that makes it a very good product! I also know it can be used in treatment of some ailment in humans. Just wondering what other curatives value does it possess?

  8. Oh! Thank you for this post. Just the same way the lockdown is affecting us as Individuals, it is affecting the mobility of our dogs too and it becomes really paramount to take their health demands into serious considerations. Dealing with anxiety in them and helping them to overcome it. I like the products you shared that are constituents of cbd and how effective they have been. I like the Crunchy Hemp Biscuit the most.

  9. Very good. I have heard so many times that CBD is a very good product not only for we humans but that our dogs can also benefit from the goodness of the CBD but I didn’t know which of the product would be authentic. As we have seen that the CBD niche is a prosperous one, some people must’ve tried to take advantage to create counterfeits and it can damage our dogs system according to you. Well I want to know which of this is the best. Thanks for adding the FAQ here too.

  10. Hi Sonny, CBD products wouldn’t seem to amaze me. With how they keep coming up with various means of getting their products to be consumed with ease by both humans and bets makes it very nice. My dog doesn’t like the smell of some stuff and so if I would rather get the biscuits to help treat her anxiety. This whole issue started a couple of weeks ago, and it’s been making her really restless.

  11. Overtime i have been noticing the signs and symptoms of anxiety in my dogs and i have been looking for the best way to get this solved.

I have a very good knowledge about cbd products but i never knew dogs could take them…i would get them and try it i hope it works for my dogs.

  12. I have a golden retriever and I think he’s exhibiting some signs of anxiety such as barking more than usual, he’s also peeing everywhere whenever I bring over strangers which has never happened before.

I’m not a fan of prescription drugs and would really like to try some CBD products as I’ve heard that they’re more natural, and also there’s a lot of buzz around CBD right now with many people praising it’s benefits. I’ve heard about Hemp My Pet before from friends, I think that’s a good brand to try out.

    • Thanks for commenting, Kent. I, myself am not a fan of prescription drugs. I believe they cause more harm than good.

      Sonny

  13. I hadn’t considered giving our small dogs hemp-based CBD chews but they do tend to be very high stressed when we have company around. I use CDB for my son and my mental conditions which include social anxiety with a great deal of success so I am glad to see this guide to pure supplements our dogs can use as well. Thank you for the time and research.

    • Hi Andy,

Social anxiety is a symptom of low serotonin levels which CBD helps with. This is why it helps with anxiety in dogs.

      Thanks for commenting!

      Sonny

  14. Hi. I am a follower of the CBD Oil industry, and I find it curious that CBD oil is used for psychic illnesses in humans and also serves as an anti-anxiety treatment for pets, such as dogs. Nice to hear, because I guess both dogs and humans got benefits from a holistic treatment. I have heard that CBD oil is even very good against cancer, I think this should be the same with dogs and humans. Do you know anything about that? Or is it that only THC oil is good against cancer? Thanks, Fabian

    • Hi Fabi, CBD oil can help with symptoms of some cancers. It’s still best to consult your veterinarian prior to using it. Thanks for commenting

      Sonny

  15. You are speaking about my dog. Sometimes I wonder why she will suddenly get into barking at nothing that I can see. I have to leave what i am doing and sit with her to calm her down. This is the first time I am knowing that there are products that can help dogs with anxiety. I am going going to buy the small dog preparation of biscuits Hemp my pets and try it with her. Thanks for the information.

  16. I have an old dog who is struggling with pain. The vet says because it’s because he’s very old and he prescribed him something, but so far it’s not very helpful. Maybe I should just wait a while, I know this kind of products don’t work instantly.

I used CBD products myself at one point in my life and I had good results. But I never actually thought there are CBD products for dogs as well. My dog doesn’t have anxiety but I’m pretty sure these treats also work for pain (I know CBD usually helps with that too). So your list and advice is very much appreciated, it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for at this point.

Just a quick question, is this safe to take with prescription drugs? Also, should I ask the vet before having my dog take any of these products?

    • Hi Tracy, it’s always a good idea to consult your vet prior to giving your dog a new medication or supplement. Your vet can also give you a proper dose as well as check for contra-indications.

      Sonny

  17. This is a great article, I really like it. However I would like to know, how do I tell if my dog has anxiety? I’m really not sure can anyone help me, what are common things dogs with anxiety do? I really hope that my dog doesn’t have it, but if it has this article will be very helpful.

  18. My word, before reading this, I never realized that there were even CBD or hemp products out there aimed at dogs. I would love to know from someone who has tried these what effects they have on your pet. I would love to know if there is a big difference just after eating the product, or hardly noticeable?

We have a really nervous pavement special, so I was wondering if these sorts of products would help him. He is really frightened of his own shadow – it’s that bad!

  19. Well thanks for recommending these products. I think my pups have anxiety symptomps (although I’m still not sure). Is  it safe for pups to consume those snacks if they’re actually healthy? Any age requirement for consumption? If everything’s alright, I will buy the King Canine products. They look healthiest and most delicious (for the pups)

    • Hi Alblue, CBD is safe for dogs of all ages. (ask your vet to be on the safe side) King Kanine is a popular choice

  20. Hi there! It’s interesting. Our dogs are similar to us when it comes to anxiety. I’ve read lots of articles on providing our furry friend with relief during stressful situations, and inevitably, CBD continues to present itself as a viable solution. Thank you so much for the useful information on the top 4. I am really pleased to see that your focus is on an organic treat with currently trending ingredients for 2020. This particular edible may be welcome at our table for playdates, day camp, and road trips.  King Kalm Crunch in Blueberry Apple Flax Blaze is an excellent example of a healthy food snack for dogs. Plus, these ingredients are very much, VERY MUCH, in vogue right now. I can only hope that this cookie is available in CDB AND Non-CBD formulas, as I try very hard to get to the root of the problem and find solutions that will not further alter the mood of my Mini Schnauzer, Sophia. Kudos to you for an easy to understand, straight-forward presentation.

  21. Hi, I enjoyed reading your article on CBD Treats for Dogs with anxiety.  There’s a lot of helpful and interesting information about CBD Treats for Dogs with anxiety.

My daughter has a Maltese and my son has a miniature schnauzer and a cat.  I didn’t know that dogs have anxiety.  I heard that CBD was good for our health but did not know that they make it for animals too.  This is a good treat for dogs.  My son’s miniature schnauzer has a skin infection that these type of dogs gets.  It comes and goes and will cause itching.  Do you know if they make a treat for this?

    Thank you,

    Margaret

  22. I love dogs, I’d like to rear puppies and sell them off when they grow older and bigger. Dogs are fascinating pets and fun to have around but I love puppies more. Learning how to take care of dogs with CBD oil on this article is really interesting. CBD oil is something I have come to know about in recent times and I have had attestations on how effective it is to humans and know learning what it is and what it can do for dogs is mind blowing.

  23. I read also your previous articles about dogs with anxiety and I have to say you are making really great work with your by sharing this informations. I do not have a dog yet, but planning it soon and then i know where to search for the right informations, your website looks really awesome and is full of useful information, support and advices.

I have also an recent experience out of human life, that I can share and prove, that the CBD really works. My colleague is suffering from anxiety and he has been using a lot of pills and he felt very sleepy after that, on top, reluctance to eat and insomnia were present…all of that disappeared when he started treat him with the CBD oil. So, it is definitely worth of trying for your 4 legged honey. Thank you and best luck further with your website!

  24. Hello Sonny Chao:),

I enjoyed reading your posts on CBD treats for dog as i have a new rottweiler puppy with anxiety i guess i stumbled unto your post at the right time.

I would get the Holista pet treat for my puppy, as I love its all natural ingredients!

    Thanks for this awesome recommend!

  25. Hi, great webpage! I’m in the market for another furry family member. My last dog passed away after 13 years. She was terrified of thunder storms. I wish back then there were CBD treats for dogs. I’ll be back to check out your other advice to calm a pooch. Thanks for the great information! I’ll be following your page!

    • Hey it’s my best friend Jamie! Thanks for Stopping by, brother!
You’re right, I wish we had CBD treats for dogs decades ago. It would have helped a lot of pets for sure. I’m sorry to hear about your dog’s passing, bless her heart.
      Thanks for the comment!

      Sunny

  26. I’ve known some really anxiety-driven dogs in my lifetime; they usually belong to close neighbors. I believe if dog-owners would study methods of calming their pets from various sources, they wouldn’t jump on whatever ads they see on television. CBD works wonders when it is a quality product. You are right about them not all being equal. It can be exciting to jump on a cheap price or to automatically assume the priciest ones are the best. Everyone needs to research carefully, and it looks like your website is a great place to start!

  27. Wow, I am eager to let my dog try some of these especially for days that rain or people are using fireworks. The HempMy Pet seems to be a better fit for my two dogs. I have a small and a large dog so I am glad that the product caters to both. Of course, price is usually an issue with these types of products but anything you buy to keep your dog calm is usually a little pricey.

    • Hi Lee, you are correct. Be wary of the inexpensive ones, though. Some products sell for less for a reason.

  28. Hello, I really want to first appreciate your effort in putting this great website together and writing this article. the benefits of CBD on humans that is is been utilized by dogs makes the oil more valuable and production in ways like the crunchy hemp biscuits is a great idea. thank you for this great review.

  29. Wow!  Your research on this is extensive and appreciated.  Your site is informative, well organized, and offers great products to help pets with anxiety.  I love that these are also safe for cats which are my pets of choice.  I wish these had been available for our former dog.  He was the most anxious thing about most everything I have ever seen.  We used to call him scaredy-dog.  I believe these products would have helped him immensely.  I love your writing, it is clear, organized, and free of spelling and grammatical errors which is very important.  Great site!

  30. I have heard of CBD for animals, but nothing that goes into detail as this article, CBD Treats for Dogs with Anxiety. I love that you listed the seven criteria’s that should be meat for CBD products, most websites don’t have this, or it is hidden somewhere on their site. Thanks for putting it right in the article. King Kalm Crunch sounds amazing and I will be purchasing this product for my brothers dog, who is the most anxious dog I have ever seen, and I am 56, so that is a ling time. Thanks again great post.

    • Thanks, Bobby, I appreciate it 😊 King Kanine has really good quality that’s why I put it on Top of the list.

      Sunny

  31. Many thanks for this article where you have shown CBD product for Dogs. I have a dog with anxious behavior. I am very happy reading your article fully. In your post I have seen a lot of product like crunchy biscuits and others. These products are made with oats, vegetable, flour,Vitamin E,eggs, apples, carrots, garlic, salt. These products are really helpful for dogs. These product are not only helpful for dog but also for cats and horses.

I will buy these product as soon as possible. I hope it will be helpful for my dog. I will share my experience with you soon.

  32. Hello,

I love these products and I want to try them out but there is a problem with the link for some of these products they are not opening, for example, the hempmypet link isn’t working.

It’s great that these products are non-GMO as I don’t want to feed my pet feed something that could harm them.

  33. Hi Sonny,

Awesome post! My sisters dog experiences anxiety and sometimes is overexcited very easily, so we have been checking out CBD treats for dogs. Great list of criteria to check, as this is new to us, we don’t know which are good and which are not. Also, the FAQ answered a few of our questions! Thanks!

Thanks again for the nice post 🙂

  34. About a year ago I bought some of the CBD oil for my wife, who has chronic hand pain. The company also sold products for dogs, which intrigued me but I had no experience in that area, so I just left it. Now I have your article, which is just what I needed.

Looking through the different items, a short list is by far the best thing, I’m drawn to the King Kanine. We have two Huskies, and although the one is more like a cat, the other really isn’t. She’s crossed with a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, no idea who came up with that bright idea. She can be very angsty for a good portion of the day and has a serious dislike for other dogs. She barely tolerates the other one.

I thought this might be a good idea to help ‘take the edge off’ her general state. The first on the list appeals because of the gluten free nature. Has to be worth a try, I think.

  35. Hi, Sonny.
Thanks for sharing your views on CBD treat for dogs who suffer the anxiety due to various reasons. CBD has always been an anxiety defender and its use on our puppies makes your article an interesting read. Though the cost of these four products is on a little higher side still we can definitely try them as they provide comfort without those hard chemicals.
    Warm Regards,
    Gaurav Gaur

  36. Hi! Thank you very much for reviewing all these 4. In my book, the best option is King Kanine. First of all because of their vast experience in the industry. They are pioneers. I also like that all their products are certified organic. And a good friend of mine, that’s also a vet, has also recommended this brand to me! So, I’ve made up my mind!

  37. Hi, great post,

This has possibly come at the perfect moment. My friends have just had a baby and their dog has a very weird mix of  jealousy and over protectiveness ,which is making everyone nervous. Obviously there needs to be some retraining involved, but would this stuff help him to chill out a bit?

  38. Hello Sonny,

I am learning so much about CBD for pets. I have started to see more of it in stores and appreciate the fact that CBD has made it into a tasty treat for dogs. I have a 14 year old dachshund and just took him to the vet last week, and was told, he may be experiencing anxiety or compulsive obsessive behavior. I can see where this could help him to be calm.

Your Q&A’s really answered many of my concerns but I didn’t see if this can be given to cats.

    Best regard
    Audrey

    • Hello Audrey, CBD is safe for cats and even horses. Thanks for bringing this up. I will update the FAQs.

      Sunny

  39. Of course there are so many low quality CBD Products out there and that is why I am excited that I at least have a place like this website to seek for recommendations. Thank you for the detailed product review and for pointing out that these are expensive products regardless of their clear quality and efficacy. I’ll start with these as I think they will make for the perfect gift for some dog owners who I know. Thanks for the excellent recommendations.

  40. Great news for me. I do know that there is a difference in CBD products, and I know that they all aren’t regulated. I’d never heard of a third-party certificate of analysis before reading this post. This is a great insight on different calming treats for pets. You hear about it for humans but knowing they are available for pets as well is amazing. And acknowledge every ingredient that’s inside, and it’s not in fact harmful.

  41. Thanks a lot for such an amazing review about Nitrosurge CBD Treats for Dogs with Anxiety and the explanation is given. I wonder a little bit about giving CBD treats to dogs with anxiety though, or basically dogs in any state at all. Crunchy Hemp Biscuits as an alternative to CBD-Oil drops.. It’s good to know that a third party certification analysis has taken place for these products to get to the market.

  42. Hii Sonny

I love animal and i have a ton of it in my home. Its like a zoo here except that i have a dog here. I really like the dog behavior, its like the got child spirit on them that cannot taken away. But I just realize that they can have anxiety too and love this website.

I wonder that if i can buy it and ship it to Indonesia, is it possible or not. Thanks for the eye opener for me hehe.

    Regard

    Tanu

  43. Congratulations on your lovely looking website. I never realised CBD was good for dog anxiety. I love it that you the products you promote have such natural ingredients, look good enough for human consumption, and I love, love, love the spin to win aspect of the site that makes it look such fun. Do you offer gifts packs?. I have a friend who I need to find a gift for and she has everything you can possibly imagine so I was looking for some unique doggy supplies. Or perhaps you could recommend a couple of your products I could buy together that would make a nice gift. Her dog is very anxious.

    • Hi Deb, there are product bundles that can save you some money. Start with CBD dog treats because they are much easier to give to a dog

      Sunny

  44. This is a use for CBD that I had not thought of, and I was quite excited to read this article after seeing the title. I have two dogs that own me, and from time to time having CBD treats to address their anxiety is something I am definitely interested in.

I am sure that they will appreciate something like this for use on occasion. It makes sense that they can enjoy some of the same benefits that we get with CBD. Of the products that you have highlighted and reviewed, the one that I like the best is the HempMy Pet brand. I have heard of them and they have an excellent reputation.

I also appreciate your guideline as to what to look for in such products. I really had no idea how to evaluate what might be good in quality standards, so this was extremely helpful. I have bookmarked the post in case I cannot get my selected brand. Thanks for this valuable post

  45. Having an anxious dog is something to looking careful into. If not treated may lead to problems. I don’t have a dog but anxious behavior from them is something to consider. The list of ingredients you’ve provided will definitely help dog owners treat their pet. I think I’ll share this will my neighbor friend that has a dog. Don’t know if his dogs have this. But he might find it useful.

  46. Wow! The fact that the ingredients are natural it’s enough to clear doubts. This review has helped me make the right choice for my pet, therefore trying out the ‘Hemp infused organic dog biscuit’ with my pet won’t be a bad idea. Thank you very much for this review. It’s really helpful.

  47. Hello. I am going to be starting a new job. My puppy is used to going everywhere with me. Even though he will be six months old, is he too young for any of the treats? Which one would you recommend for a puppy if they are allowed to have them?  I would not have considered getting CBD treats for a dog but after reading about the information you have given I am considering getting some if they are safe for puppies. I really love the fact they are organic, made in small batches and they carefully process the ingredients for best results. Thank you for the information!

    • Hello Sheri, I’m contacting the manufacturer to get this information and I will get back to you. Thanks for asking! And goodluck on your new job!

  48. I like the idea of using CBD oils and the review that explains everything about it. Although CBD oil is new to the market, everyone should understand and how it is used before commenting, and it’s kind there are many options of product o choose from as well. After reading this, I think using this method is more comfortable to treat dogs. I am trying this out.

  49. I didn’t believe CBD would work to calm my dog’s anxiety until my vet offered her to try one bag. But it did what it should do – after several attempts, she was able to chillax even when I when out for my shopping. The only thing I am worried about is whether the other ingredients in the treat would spark her allergy or not. She has had issues with other regular treats in the past so we need to be careful not to give her too much.

    • Hi Cathy, Thanks for your comment!  CBD does work – it’s the lack of education that’s stopping people from using it

      Sunny

  50. I do know that there is a difference in CBD products, and I know that they all aren’t regulated. I’d never heard of a third-party certificate of analysis before reading this post. With so many CBD products on the market more people will want assurance of what they are buying.

Thanks for pointing out that there are several different options when purchasing dog treats that are not name brand, but are organic and non-GMO. More people are demanding these products, and more options are becoming available. It takes advertising and education such as yours to bring these items to people’s attention.

    • Thanks, Willow. Educating people on CBD was actually the purpose of writing this article. Thanks for commenting

      Sunny

  51. You are so right when you say, that all CBD products are not equal. To be honest with you I am afraid of CBD treats for pets because I do not know which ones are of high quality. And that is why I decided to do some research and I landed on your website.

You had me at organic, free of heavy metal, made in small batches and all the other good things you included on your criteria list.

My favorite on your list is the HolistaPets CBD Dog treats, I like that they are made with all-natural ingredients with no added sugar, And I also like that they contain no artificial colors or flavors. you made me smile when you said that they are even better than human snacks found in supermarkets lol makes me wonder if there will be a fight between me and my fur baby over snacks if you know what I mean lol.

I think these treats are a good idea for dogs with anxiety and because they are made of natural ingredients they are definitely better than putting your dog on medication. Plus they are easy to give to the dog than giving him/her medication.

Thank you so much for this post I really didn’t even know that before purchasing CBD products I should inquire if they have a third-party certificate of analysis.

    Super helpful post.

    Rose.

  52. I will have to tell my friend about this product. She has just recently rescue Bambi from and a shelter. When she is home Bambi is usually fine but when she leaves Bambi will cry non shop and bother the neighbors. She just found out that if she puts Bambi in the cage Bambi would stop crying but she wants Bambi out. Maybe this CBD would help calm Bambi down. We will see. Thank you so much for your review 🙂 on all 4. Will share your post to my friend.

  53. It’s scary to see how misinformation can lead people nowadays. That’s why we need more posts like these. This is a great insight on different calming treats for pets. You hear about it for humans but knowing they are available for pets as well is amazing. And acknowledge every ingredient that’s inside, and it’s not in fact harmful.
I’ll definitely give it a try for my dog.

  54. Thanks a lot for such an amazing review about Nitrosurge CBD Treats for Dogs with Anxiety and the explanation is given.

I have heard of CBD oil many times, I have heard that it is also beneficial for dogs, but I was thinking about how to let it swallow the oil. I also wanted to buy my dog. I will definitely buy these cookies because it will be easier for them. Thanks again and I wish you all the best.

  55. I think this site is really growing on me. I read a post i think it was on Saturday and here i am again. I’m a dog owner and i just love the information you’re sharing on this website.

I wonder a little bit about giving CBD treats to dogs with anxiety though, or basically dogs in any state at all. What i’m wondering about is won’t it make my little doggie kind of high? Intoxicated i mean. I know that would have a sort of calming effect yes, but would it be safe for the little guy if that happened?

Which of the 4 products you have here for dogs with anxiety do you think would pose the least risk for something like that?

  56. Of course, I’d prefer to give Tobby a biscuit rather than the CBD oil drops (I guess it’ll be much pleasant for him on this secondary presentation).

It’s good to know that a third party certification analysis has taken place for these products to get to the market.

You always surprise us with a very nice way to help by keeping us informed. Thanks for a great product review post! We’ll definitely try the Holistapet and the Crunchy Hemp Biscuits as an alternative to CBD-Oil drops.

    • Thank you, Juan. I appreciate your comments on my posts and it’s always a pleasure reading them.

      Blessings,

      Sunny

  57. I have been hearing so much about CBD oils these days, but only for use in humans. I didn’t realize that you could possibly use it on your dog as well and that it could help alleviate their anxiety! I wonder if these treats only have the calming effect as advertised or if they also come with the other positive effects of CBD that I have been reading so much about. I’ll have to read more about it.

  58. Interesting.

It makes a whole lot of sense to serve your dog the very much adored CBD in the form of treats. I must admit, this is a very clever way to rid your dog of anxiety as the treats would be munched with great delight. I appreciate the standard you set for the CBD products you recommend, especially in this post. Like you said, not all CBD are of equal quality and as such, giving your pet a substandard product could compromise his health and might even go as far as causing further complications. Hempmy pet seems to be the stand out choice on the list.

    Great post

  59. CBD is the new thing just like keto diets are lol. However, I never thought of the CBD actually working for animals. Its funny though because I’m imagining a dog barking all over the place and I can’t tell if the dog is excited or with anxiety. I wonder what people have in them that helps them be a pet lover; I might just need this.

  60. I’m a big believer in the power of CBD oil as I have been using it as a sleep aid by doctor’s prescription since before it was even legalized. Although I do not have pets I have heard from several pet owners just how successful they have been using CBD oil to help calm their dogs down. An excellent article that should attract many visitors.

  61. It’s very advisable when you said we should always make sure that the cannabis companies have a Third-Party Certificate of Analysis. This really help to meet up with what is written on the packaging. I have a dog (German Shepherd) that is very anxious, he is always nervous and I don’t like that.

I’ve been thinking of what to do of a recent until I came in contact with your website. You’ve really said a lot and your post tends to be very useful. I’m glad that the companies that produce these products have them more in an organic nature which is good. Thank you for this article.

    • Thanks, Leon. Yes, the certificate of analysis is super important. Im glad you found my posts to be useful

  62. Hi Sonny,

A few weeks before I read one of your posts “CBD for Dogs with Anxiety” which was an eye-opener for me via your post only I came to know that CBD can be used for our dog.

Nowadays online is full of CBD promotions and as you mentioned there are products with low-quality. So your recommendation means a lot to me and this post is saving people time, trouble and money.

King Kanine sounds interesting to me. The number of reviews and customer rating makes it a must try so I will go with King Kanine. The FAQ section is a greater help and I got helpful insights.

    • Hello Paul, I’m glad to get a comment from you again. Yes, King kanine is a reputable company and is one of the best.

      Sunny

  63. Thank you so much for sharing with us such a beautiful article. I’m glad I found this article. I have a little dog. Thank you so much for writing this article about CBD Treats for Dogs with Anxiety. I’ve gotten heard from a couple of individuals that CBD is time tested for Anxiety relief. That they make dog treats with CBD is extraordinary also. From your list, I truly like the sound and look of King Kanine treats. It will be of great benefit to those of us who own dogs. I think, it’s a bit of information overload but as pet owners, it is our responsibility to know this by heart. Thanks

  64. Hi

I am generally lucky that my dog  does not suffer much from anxiety but when fireworks go off, she can get very withdrawn  and whiney. I often wonder what can be done and came across this post. I have heard about the many health benefits that CBD has on humans but I assumed that it has little affect or was dangerous for dogs. Your article soon put this right and it pointed to me what products with CBD can be used. I am sure my dog will appreciate at least one of these products, as she can be a fussy eater. When I look for a product for my dog it must be the best.

    Thank you

    Antonio

    • hello antonio, being withrawn and whiney are signs of anxiety themselves. Hope you found the article to be useful

      sunny

  65. I have three dogs, but fortunately they do not suffer from anxiety. With one exception: from the new year, when the fireworks are heard outside. It’s good that I came across your site and found out that CBD is worth buying if it has a third-party certificate of analysis. I liked the Holistapet product in its different variants for different diseases.

    • Hi Carmen. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Yes, Holistapet has some great products that cater to a wide range of issues.

      Sunny

  66. Not only it is great to live in times of CBD, its even greater to live in times of CBD for dogs! I’ve heard from a few people that CBD is tried and true for anxiety relief. That they make dog treats with CBD is outstanding as well. From your list I really like the sound and look of the King Kanine treats. They look like they’ve been around for a while and are well-regarded. I’ll start with these as I think they will make for the perfect gift for some dog owners who I know. Thanks for the excellent recommendations!

    • Hello Pentrental, I’m glad you found the article to be helpful.  Yes, King Kanine has been around for a long time. Longer than most CBD companies.

      Sunny

  67. Thank you for your insight on CBD doggy treats, Sonny.  I did wonder from you article on CBD oil for dogs if there were easier ways of introducing CBD in your dog’s diet than trying to use a little dropper bottle.

As with any animal food, I’m always worried about the quality of the food, particularly the addition of artificial flavours and preservatives.  Great to see some GF, DF, and organic options here.  I read somewhere recently that CBD breaks down completely once baked above a certain temperature and therefore almost negates much of the benefit of CBD.  This could be an issue for dog owners who want to use CBD to treat more serious pain or anxiety within their animal rather than just use the biscuits as a random treat.  I would be interested to know what temperature the manufacturers you list bake their products at.

  68. Ooops, just left comment directly on your site which I found very informative.  Sounds like you have met my sister’s collie, Riley, he is so wound up.  Never would think that CBD Oil is good for anxiety in dogs. Thank you for sharing, I am going to share your article with my sister.

  69. Gee, sounds like you have met my sister’s Collie, he is crazy anxious. I never would have thought that CBD Oil would be good for pets. Great article and super informative site here. Thank you for sharing!

  70. Wow CBD for pets with anxiety disorders! Wasn’t aware these alternate supplements were even available for dogs with anxiety issues. Thank you for the detailed product review and for pointing out that these are expensive products regardless of their clear quality and efficacy. I guess it’s balancing that cost against the costs of consulting a professional vet or purchasing other less natural medications for pets with anxiety disorders.

    • Hello Rui, Good quality comes at a cost in any product. It’s the inexpensive ones that you need to be wary of

      Sunny

  71. Of course there are so many low quality CBD Products out there and that is why I am excited that I at least have a place like this website to seek for recommendations. I focus my buying decision most times especially on what other users of the product have to say and it’s cool to see that this is one of the criterion you used in choosing CBD treats for dog with anxiety. These treats are so appealing and I think my dog would appreciate them. So I want to say thank you for sharing these.
